Whether it’s children at their first dilation or elderly with cataracts, confident teens with “good vision” or scared adults with diabetic retinopathy, the fortunate who can afford laser vision correction or the unfortunate thankful for the service of missionary clinics, one thing rings true: it is through the field of optometry that we are all united.

Optometrists, health professionals, and even students like myself hold the responsibility of creating and maintaining this union.
